Besides being one of the driest places on earth (.03 inches annually), Arica is home to one of Chile's largest Coke bottlers. In celebration of their 100 anniversary, Coke constructed this huge 50m x 120m roadside advertisement along the Highway leading into Arica. It's constructed out of 70,000 coke bottles. I can only assume that the whole thing will be covered with sand soon enough. For some reason corporate advertising seems alright to me as long as they're doing something completely absurd in somewhere too hot for anyone to want to be anyway.
