- Angkor Wat
This is an obvious stop in Cambodia. It's a difficult place to get to from Thailand but if you are going by land, it is manageable. Angkor Wat is a series of ruins and temples so it's difficult to see all in one day (although you may not want to spend 3 days taking photos of ruins). It's easy to hire a tuktuk or motorbike for the day to take you from place to place so it's definitely worth visiting.
Directions and Additional Info:
I heard the road from Phnom Penh is easier so that might be recommended. I came from the Thai border, up north and had to drive for 7 hours on a BUMPY ride once past the border to get to Siem Reap. Start EARLY in the day if you intend to come from Thailand. I think there's also a plane that stops in Siem Reap but getting there is half the fun!
