" Parilla Grill is THE happenin' place in Hyde Park"

Master bartender Joseph pours up his famous Lemon Drop shot...delicious!

Eight Legged Freak Margarita....and Remember....Please, "Drink Responsibly"....

Boise - Parilla Grill

The Parilla Grill beckons like a glorious desert oasis on a hot summer’s night, with customers spilling out of her ample outdoor dining patio sharing good times and rock and roll and the best damn dollar tacos south of the border. The Parilla classifies it’s highly unique menu as “Fusion…serving top quality meats, homemade BBQ, fresh seafood, fiery jambalaya (trust them when they tell you it’s “fiery”..they aint kidding on this one!), salads, pastas, vegetarian items and an assortment of other homemade recipes…all served in giant steamed tortillas…made anyway you like!” Thursday night is $1.00 taco and beer night…all you can eat and drink for only a buck a pop. And man, as noted before, those are mighty fine tasting tacos! There is a full service bar on the patio with master bartender Joseph and his crew at your service ready to pour you an icy cold one (be ready to show your ID, a prominent sign reminds you, “NO ID, NO SERVICE” whether you are 21 or 121, no exceptions). They also have a plethora of exotic margaritas including the infamous “Eight Legged Freak” margarita (see picture below, and by the way, remember to…”Drink Responsibly”), along with some of the yummiest shooters you’ve ever slipped down your yap (this reviewer was particularly tantalized with the lemon drop…the orange rock sugar on the rim of the glass was a nice touch!).

Wraps, tacos and burritos are made inside on the big grill where the talented staff put together the main ingredients (the exotic “Bombay Bomburrito” for instance, a house favorite, has ginger banana chutney smear with cilantro lime rice, bamboo shoots, purple cabbage and a green chili-curry sauce). Customers build it from there with their choice of additional toppings like cheese, sour crème, olives, onions and five kinds of different delectable salsas to choose from (pick one or all five, slathered on your item or to dip from on the side). The Grill cooks up awesome breakfast burritos as well, so it’s a fabulous place to frequent for brunch, or to nurse that weekend hangover, when only a massive plate of yummy carbs will cure what’s ailing ya. There’s also a kids’ menu which includes peanut butter and honey tacos. But I think this should be on the adults’ menu too. After all, why should kids get all the good stuff?

Parilla Grill is THE happenin place in Hyde Park, particularly on a warm balmy night…and especially when you’re tired of the stale “samo, samo” beer joints just down the road. It gets really hopping Thursday thru Saturday in particular and they’ve even been known to bring in live music now and again (be sure to get there early on those occasions…seats will go VERY fast!). This is just about as much FUN and GREAT FOOD…. And a truly FABULOUS VIBE as you can have in one place in the North End. So, grab the dog, meet your friends and head down to Hyde Park…stop in at “The Grill” and have your self a taco and a cold one. This place has truly got it goin on…..(and please, as always, remember to tip your bartender!).

Their burritos slay.

Hi. I need to disagree. That was the worst burrito I have ever had. The service sucked. The kitchen is filthy. Oh, man. I am sitting here looking for their email address so that I can send relevant comments to the owners, and I stumbled upon this review. Really, this place sucks. My burrito was cold! The quality is low. If you like flies, then go to this restaurant. Yuck.
