For years now I have had a goal to snowboard in every major mountain range on earth. This started out as a meager list remembered from 9 grade social studies to detailed examinations of intricate topography around the world. The ridden list so far is humble: the Black Hills of South Dakota, the Rockies, the Cascades, the Sierra Nevada, the BC coast range, the Andes. As one can surmise this project is always in need of support, financial and beyond. But so far snowboarding has led me to 8 states, and 4 countries and as the list grows so does my understanding of the mountains and the cultures that live in them. Part of my goal in doing this is also to share the experience and some of the things I learn through digital media and the web.
